Impossible plays is a performance project that re - imagined our social worlds based on video interviews with four strangers, a drag king, Arente water colour artist, a street poet and tarot card reader about their fantasy lives. Verbatim interviews were woven together as a journey through these fantasy worlds finding common ground in disparate and shared dreams, exploring the relationship between fantasy and action in everyday life. It was developed through the Next Wave Festival's Kickstart Program in 2012 and presented at the Arts House and Federation Square for the Next Wave Festival, and at PACT Theatre Erskineville for the Tiny Stadiums Festival. Performers: Alice Williams, Jane Grimley, Kate Beckett, Amity Yore, Megan Garret - Jones. Video artist: Chloe Hughes. Editor: Sasha Cohen.

“... a work that apparently walks a fine line between documentary and dream-like fantasy.”
